Marc Jowett of Oxon Building Solutions recently completed a loft conversion for us.  Following an initial site visit, he provided a clear estimate of the work involved, the timescale and costs.  He absolutley stuck to his budget.   

Using an innovative structural system known as 'telebeams' which uses mutliple narrow aluminium beams instead of a few large deep steel beams, extermal and internal disruption were kept to a minimum.  Scaffoling is only needed on one side of the house.  There was no need to remove the roof or to use a crane and the narrow aluminium beams create a wider loft space with greater head room. 

Working from only basic architects outline drawings, Marc completing all the internal and external structural woodwork, including 2 tile hung dormer windows with lead flashing.  His work was exceptionally high quality, a fact confirmed by the building inspector both during an after the construction. Of particular note are the bespoke staircase, landing area and hidden loft storage which he created, all of which are both millimetre perfect and very attractive.  He is a talented carpenter as well as an expect builder.  

As the construction work progressed Marc brought in a high grade team of craftsmen who worked closely together as a talented and harmonious team. Installing an MVHR system, underfloor heating and the usual electrical components and wet room furniture.

Marc is an intelligent, multi skilled craftsman who sets himself and his team very high standards, and achieves them. He is also an effective manager and leader.  Not only is his work excellent but he and his team were tidy and careful to keep disruption to a minimum. My wife and i could not be happier with the work he completed for us and will certainly use him again.

Marc has been our constant builder for the past two years. In that time he has put in veluxes, completely re-roofed our house, constructed a patio, knocked down an internal wall and done various other construction work - all to a high standard and with excellent finish.

Marc's input and good advice on both of our plans resulted in a better build on each occasion for us. He liaised with the Council on our behalf and built a relationship with the building inspector.
